Scheepjes Frosted Whirl

Scheepjes Whirl is a delicious yarn quality from the Dutch manufacturer Scheepjes. The yarn is a wonderful mix of cotton (57%), acrylic (38%) and lurex polyester (5%) which makes it suitable for all kinds of projects, from lovely accessories and clothing to lovely blankets for the sofa.

The yarn is a so-called cake yarn, which has long color changes. The lurex in the yarn adds beautiful silver shimmer to your work. This means that your knitting or crochet project will automatically take on a beautiful play of colors without you having to change yarns and attach lots of yarn ducks. This makes Scheepjes Whirl an obvious choice for slightly larger projects, such as tops, cardigans, shawls and blankets, where the play of color really comes into its own. Depending on whether you start from the outside or the middle of the cake, you get completely different color changes.

Each cake weighs between 215-225 grams and has a running length of 1000 meters. We recommend knitting needles/crochet hook size 3.5-4 mm, depending on your knitting tension and the pattern you are working from.
