Stone Markers

Being creative during the week, at weekends or on holidays doesn't have to involve expensive investments in materials or great ingenuity. Often, the best resources for creative projects are right around us.

With stone crayons, you and your children can be entertained for hours while colouring, painting, drawing and writing.

Decorative stones can be made for the living room or nursery, or the stones can be used for play and language development for the youngest children.

Take advantage of the many uses of painting on stones

Painting, drawing or writing on stones is an activity that stimulates children and young people's brains on several levels. The creative painting and drawing projects create calm and train the ability to stay focused. It calms the nervous system to immerse oneself in making animals that match the shape and build of the individual stones.

The painted stones can be used for fun language games with the youngest children.

You can help your child develop language and understanding by using the stones in games where they have to point to the animal or object you name. Or you can put a handful of painted stones in a bag and pull them up one by one, naming the animal or object in the design.

Older children can make mandala drawings on large stones.

This can take hours of making dots, lines, circles and other shapes in a variety of colours. The beautiful decorated stones can become the finest display at home.

Drawing pads for young and old children

The whole family can get involved with drawing on rocks. You'll find a large and varied selection of different stone markers, including packs and individual markers.

When the smallest members of the family are involved in creative projects, it's a good idea to go for the thickest tints. Young children will find it easier to grip the thicker stone markers.

For children aged 6 and over, the slimline markers are fine.

It can be beneficial for everyone in the family to have different types of tickers available. The imagination is the only limit to what can be made, written, drawn and decorated on the natural materials.

If the entire surface of the stone needs to be coloured, it is best to use the coarse crayons with a strong tip for this purpose.

This saves on the content of the fine markers, which are suitable for Mandala drawings.

Buy stone drawing pads in packs

When you buy stone crayons for the first time, it's both practical and economical to buy them in packs. You'll get between 6-12 different colours to get you and the rest of the family started. It's motivating to have all the colours of the rainbow to work with.

This way, the imagination of both children and parents can run wild. It could be that the pig should be green instead of pink, or that a name should be written on a stone with one different colour on the letters.

There are different qualities of tufts available for decorating stones.

Painting stones is a hobby on a par with sewing, embroidery, crochet and knitting.

Do you want to give yourself the best working conditions when being creative and do you want the paint to last for the longest time?

It can be satisfying for the dedicated draughtsman or painter to work with quality stencils, where the contents are more robust and water resistant.

Sparkling stone tints make the perfect gift

For those special stones that are to be used as gifts or decorations in the home, the beautiful glitter effect tesserae may be needed. It adds sparkle and beauty when the mica lights up.

The glitter tokens can be an obvious choice to give as a gift to him or her who has a flair for creative expression. The fact that the most beautiful tints can be used can add extra interest to the activity of decorating stones.

If you want to make your gift to him or her extra personal, you can collect 2-3 stones that have special shapes. It could be a stone that resembles a heart, or a stone that looks like an animal.

Choose your favourite colours as individual tickers

Does your daughter love the colour blue? Or is it mainly the black colour that's hot with the teenager at home? It's only natural that the most used stone tints are also the ones that sell out the fastest.

It can be frustrating for your child, your teenager and yourself to have to put your stone project on hold because there's no more content left in the mosaic.

You can be ahead of the game and buy the single pieces that you expect will come up the fastest.
