• Consider type of sewing machine needle: When sewing fleece with other materials, it may be best to go up a size in the needle on your sewing machine. Fleece itself is soft, and if this is the only fabric you are working with, you can work with the classic stem needle.

Be aware of the need for pre-washing when ordering polar fleece:As the material can shrink in the wash (about 3%), take this into account when ordering your material.
