Scheepjes Whirl

Scheepjes Whirl is a delicious yarn quality from the Dutch manufacturer Scheepjes. The yarn is a lovely blend of cotton (60%) and acrylic (40%), making it suitable for all kinds of projects, from lovely accessories and clothing to lovely blankets for the sofa.

The yarn is a so-called cake yarn, which has long colour changes. This means that your knitting or crochet project will automatically have a beautiful play of colours, without you having to change yarns and stitch lots of yarn threads. This makes Scheepjes Whirl an obvious choice for slightly larger projects, such as tops, cardigans, shawls and blankets, where the play of colours really comes into its own. Depending on whether you start from the outside or from the middle of the cake, you get completely different colour shifts.

Each cake weighs between 215-225 grams and has a running length of 1000 metres. We recommend knitting needles/hook size 3.5-4 mm, depending on your own knitting speed and what pattern you are working from.
