Twisting pins / Auxiliary pins consist of 3 twisting pins in the sizes 3 mm, 4 mm and 5 mm. The shape of the sticks makes them ideal for holding stitches until they need to be knitted.

The pegs work by moving half of the stitches to the auxiliary peg, where they wait either in front of or behind the work. The twist turns to the left if they are waiting in front of the piece and to the right if they are waiting behind.

The width depends on the number of stitches, the more stitches make it wider and the less stitches make it narrower. As a rule, you knit as many rows as stitches before repeating the purl. For example, if you are knitting a purl over 9 stitches, repeat the purl on every 9th row, turning it alternately to the right and left.

Knitting needles are also called auxiliary needles or aran needles.
