What does table model mean and how is it fitted?
A table model means that you can attach the machine to the table with a clamp, which comes included with the product, so it's firmly attached and you don't have to strain to hold it when you turn the handle.
This makes for a much more comfortable and ergonomic experience for you, and prevents you from getting a sore arm. It's an older invention that's just as relevant to knitters today as it was when it first came out.
How to use the Scheepjes Wool winder dark
You get out your yarn and grab one end of the yarn. The yarn is now taken through the yarn eye - shaped like a metal spiral - at the top of the wooden rod. Then you attach the yarn to the top of the spindle itself through the two small slits. This keeps the yarn on the spindle.
Now push up the wooden base on which the spindle stands so that you can turn the machine. Then simply turn it clockwise using the wooden handle. It is a good idea to hold the yarn from the yarn eye slightly taut while turning the handle with your other hand. When you're done, slowly pull your new yarn skein off the spindle. And voila, you're ready to start your next knitting or crochet project.
