How to use the KnitPro Natural Yarn Winder

You can download a free yarn winding user guide right here on the site. The instructions are in English and German respectively. However, we have made our own English translation, which you can use together with the manual illustration on page 2. Follow along here:

1. Mount the yarn winder to a table or counter and secure the winder securely with the clamp's screw wing so that the device does not wobble.
2. Open and stretch your yarn thread so that it resembles a large yarn circle and stretch it around the arms of the yarn winder.
3. Open the yarn winding by pushing the brake block up along the wooden shaft so that the arms of the yarn winding unfold, holding the yarn thread in place.
4. Ensure that the yarn winding holds its position by tightening the brake block with its screw wing.
5. Cut the threads that are tied around the stretched and open yarn thread.
6. Find the yarn end pointing out of the yarn thread. When you pull on this end, your yarn will not tangle. As you pull the yarn end, the yarn winds around, making the process of gaining yarn easier.
