Application: can be mounted to table edge with included clamp
Product description
With a KnitPro Wool winder, getting loose yarn ready for the knitting needle or crochet hook has never been easier. Whether you've bought yarn in bulk - yarn that needs to be wound before it can be used - or you have leftover yarn from a project you've been working on, the Wool winder can quickly and efficiently turn it into yarn skeins.
The KnitPro Natural Wool winder is a solid yarn tool with quality in mind. The model is handmade from birch wood with a focus on showcasing the bright natural colours. This ensures you a device that is both beautiful and durable in design. The wool winder can wind 450 grams of yarn at a time on its spindle. In addition, the KnitPro Natural has rubber tread pads on the underside, giving the winder a non-slip surface so it won't slip or leave scratches on the table surface when you use it.
If you want to get the best results the next time you wind yarn, consider combining the wool winder with a yarn winder - sold separately. As well as making the process quicker, the yarn winding can help keep track of loose yarn as well as giving you some even nicer yarn skeins.
KnitPro is a renowned manufacturer in Europe. For a number of years they have been providing useful quality products for knitting and crochet based on listening to the customer's needs. Assembling the KnitPro Natural Wool winder
The KnitPro Natural wool winder is a table model. The machine can therefore be mounted to your favourite work table using the included table clamp. This means you don't have to exert effort to hold the wool winder when using it. It makes for a more playful and comfortable experience when you're spinning yarn. The table clamp is made of metal and easy to adjust.
How to use the KnitPro Natural Wool winder
You can download an English user manual for the wool winder here on the site which you can use together with the informative illustration found on page 2 of the user manual:
Clamp the wool winder to a flat surface, such as a table or counter, with the clamp and then tighten the clamp using the wing nut (O) to use the device most optimally.
Place the large rubber band (J) around the turntable (L) and the wooden pulley (Q).
Take the yarn through the yarn eye at the top of the metal rod (B) and thread the yarn through the two slots at the top of the spindle (E).
To start winding yarn, start by turning the turntable (L) slowly three or four times with the handle (K). When the turning movements start to be more stable, you can start to increase the turning speed.
When you have finished winding the yarn, carefully remove the yarn eye by pushing it up to the top of the spindle (F). Using the yarn eye, you can either pull the yarn from the middle or the outside, whichever you prefer.
NOTE: You should hold the yarn from the yarn eye slightly taut and let the yarn slide smoothly between your fingers as it winds on the spindle. To do this, it's important not to turn the handle too quickly, as this can risk making your yarn loops misshapen and loose.
